Prayer, Packages & Letters for Seth Baruffi

Dear Church Body,
I would like to ask you all to be praying for my brother-in-law Seth Baruffi who is serving as a an Army Doctor in Iraq. His wife Kary and children, Marco-4 and Angelina-1, are living in Vineland while Seth is deployed.
Below is a prayer request from Seth that he describes is a request that is “beyond the obvious war-zone prayers” that he appreciates you praying. I have also included an email request from Seth’s parents for those of you who are inclined to send something to Seth.

“i would say that there is a temptation for me to waste the days–to sort of check out and let the time pass over me like a river. it is a stagnant, but painless way to exist. i did this quite a bit in med school. “how could you have wasted so much time in medical school?” you might ask. well, it is not that i am not getting anything done, it is just not of significance to my soul or even significant to my important relationships. so, prayers that i would stay engaged and keep clear sight on the man that god has for me to be in this time. and that i would take huge advantage of the amount of time that i have. what could be viewed as a lonely time could also be seen as a great opportunity to read and study huge quantities for months without distraction and without ignoring my family to do it.”

We are organizing a conserted effort to connect with Seth Baruffi while he is serving in Iraq. There have been weeks where he gets many packages and other weeks where he does not get any. If you would be interested in sending something (a package that doesn’t have to be expensive or letter) to Seth please contact Leslie or Larry Baruffi and we will assign you a week in which your package can be sent that way Seth will consistently getting the encouragement that comes from letters and packages.
