Truth For Living

Truth For Living is designed to train the People of God in the glorious counsel of God through His Word. It is a time where we get together with other people to look to God and His Word to address very specific aspects of being alive. We need God’s counsel in areas of our life where we are stuck. We need His voice to tell us how to follow after Him, and we also need to know how to live out our Faith in very practical ways such as parenting, finances and relationships. So we need help. We need revelation from God.
TFL provides a number of different opportunities throughout the week to pursue the glorious counsel of God. You can sign up for any of them by using our TFL sign-up form.

Winter TFL 2012

Alpha

Alpha is an excellent introduction to following Jesus and a great way to experience the pulse of Living Faith Alliance Church. If you have not been on the Alpha course check it out. You have dinner every week, make some new friends and talk about the existence of God, the work of the Holy Spirit or what happens after death. You will get to know God better and you will get a clearer understanding of Living Faith Alliance Church. For those of you who have been on the course I want to ask you to pray this prayer. “Father, please show me someone I can invite to Alpha.” Now start looking for God to answer that prayer. You already have relationships with all sorts of people and there are tens of thousands living in our area that do not yet know Jesus. If you are willing God can use you to invite someone for just one night to see what God will do.

Parenting II: Raising Toddlers

Our culture often builds fear in parents about “the terrible twos”.  We believe children between the ages of  2-5 years old are at a perfect stage to begin learning the  blessing of coming under authority. Come and join other parents as we learn about themes like:  nurturing faith at an early age, what obedience looks like, coming under authority, intentional training, and forms of discipline etc.  Don’t miss a chance to get help with in this very crucial stage of parenting!

Membership

Membership is not about getting your name on a roster, or getting a special parking spot. Membership is about getting connected. The membership course is designed to connect the movement of the Spirit of God in your life with the movement of the Spirit of God at Living Faith Alliance Church.

Financial Peace

Are you passionate about personal finances? Do you enjoy helping others through a struggle that you victoriously overcame? We are looking for people with a passion for personal finances. More than 1.5 million families have attended Financial Peace University with amazing results. On average, these families paid off $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 in just the first 90 days! In preparation for bringing this Biblically based financial training to many who need it we are looking to train some additional leaders. Please join us this winter to go through Financial Peace University and get equipped to help others.

Encountering God is Scripture

Perhaps you find yourself intimidated by scripture or unmotivated to read it. Many of us experience the sad truth that this precious gift of the Bible that God has handed down to us through generations has very little impact on our lives.  Rich will be leading you through the Bible in such a way that you
will learn to Encounter the God of the Bible on your own.

Discover God’s truth for living through the lives and faith of the founders of the nation of Israel (the Patriarchs), their wives and their dysfunctional families. We will study the triumphs and failures, twists and turns, redemption and mystery of Genesis 12-50. No matter how experienced you are in reading the Bible you will feel right at home. You will be amazed at how much we will learn, grow as women and practically be able to apply to our everyday lives.

LTG

(LIFE TRANSFORMATION GROUP) If none of these classes are fitting your current life experience and you have already gotten the basics of the 7 essentials of discipleship, consider an LTG. An LTG is a small group experience for personal growth using the discipline of prayer, confession, and scripture reading.

*The 7 Essentials of Discipleship are courses of training designed to equip people with foundational truth and basic practices for a lifetime of following Jesus. You do not have to take the courses in order, you can jump in at any point.
