In your adventure with Jesus, have you picked up yet that following Him doesn’t turn out exactly like what you might think? There are surprises, unexpected turns, and downright mystery on the way. From January 8 until February 26, 2012, our whole church explores the mysterious nature of the Kingdom of God as we study the Kingdom parables found in Matthew 13.
Understand the joy of the Kingdom of God, we will begin to live for Jesus’ Kingdom everyday — we will live our life on mission for a great King. That kind of perspective will change our life and the lives of people around us.
Pastor Greg Hill reveals the values we must hold to in order for our families to work closer to Jesus and work under God’s design.
Here you will find Sunday Sermons that were shared that are not a part of any particular sermon series.
A Christmas teaching on four reasons Jesus came and His impact on our life.
You’ve noticed, I’m sure, that BOTH incredible joy AND misery come with living in relationships. Nevertheless relationships are about something grander than experiencing pleasure or avoiding pain — they are the context for the progress and proclamation of God’s greatest news — the Gospel. Relationships are the environment where the character of God’s people is transformed to become like Jesus. And relationships are also the stage where the Gospel is proclaimed — for every aspect of the Gospel (grace, mercy, forgiveness, love, trust, sacrifice, etc.) is demonstrated in true Christian community.
If faith in Jesus were a living virus, it would be a wonderful, irresistible, contagious faith. When Jesus gave his followers marching orders to make disciples among people of every ethnic group on planet Earth, he was calling them to become completely infected with such passion to know, love and follow Jesus that they would, in a sense, become beautifully, irresistibly, wonderfully contagious. And that’s what happened — a pandemic outbreak of love for Jesus was unleashed that literally conquered the Western World! This series studies the four patterns of becoming an infectious disciple of Jesus Christ.
As a church, we are learning that our relationship with God is a covenant relationship — but what does that mean? What does it look like to live in a covenant relationship with God. The Psalms are the place we can find out what it looks like to walk in covenant with God. Over and over, the Psalms describe life experiences of brokenness, sin, struggle and how to to live covenant in those situations. Study with us to learn what to anticipate as you live in a covenant relationship with God.
Facing impossibilities? Feeling God calling you to new challenges? Seeing opposition all around? Recognizing some deep needed changes? If that’s your story, you need to hear Nehemiah’s story. These teachings help us see how God forms His people and what specifically He is looking to develop in us
Advent … the Christmas Season … is when we celebrate the coming of Jesus. But what happens when Jesus comes? What does His coming bring? This series explores those questions and helps us celebrate the reality that Jesus has come.
What is the driving vision behind Living Faith Alliance Church? Why do we do what we do? Do our church values line up with God’s Word? Where are we going? What might Living Faith Alliance look like in five years? In ten years?
These are the kinds of questions we will address during this 5-Sermon series: Living Faith Alliance: The Vision.
During this year’s International Week, we had the opportunity to hear from two guest speakers visiting from two different countries.
If it’s true (and it is) that God intends that parents teach their children to know, love, and serve God, then there is no job more important in all of life than to be a mom and dad. As a church, starting in September, we want to take a number of weeks to talk together about the essentials of parenting. What are we doing as parents? And how are we to go about doing that well? This series is also for single people as they develop vision for their future.
Jesus came to seek and save people who were lost – people who could not find their way. What would it look like if we did the same? None of us have all the answers or have life all figured out, but love calls us to shine the light that we have. Throughout August we will focus our Sunday teaching times on what it means that, apart from Christ, people are lost and how love calls us to live our life on mission for lost people. Pastor Nathan is sharing this series with guest speakers even from Australia, and we will hear updates of God’s mission to the whole globe.
