Open Nominations for Governing Elders
The LFAC Nominating Committee has begun its work to select suitable men to serve for three yeas as Governing Elders to be elected by the congregation at the Annual Meeting, December 11. The LFAC bylaws also allow any active member of the membership to nominate any member to serve a three year term as a Governing Elder according to the following:
The member wishing to place someone in nomination must contact and obtain permission from the person to be nominated and receive assurance that the person will allow his name to be considered.
The member wishing to place the name in nomination will then submit the name to the Nominating Committee, in writing, before November 12, 2011. (email: nhoward@lfachurch.org or Atten. Nate Howard, 1987 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361)
The Nominating Committee will satisfy itself that the person to be nominated meets the criteria of the Constitution and bylaws for holding elected office.
The qualification for Governing Elders are set out in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-9 and each Governing Elder must be an active member of this church and proven as discerning, competent leaders.
